Listening to these early recordings of my singing with Connie Jones' Crescent City Jazz Band, Jack London's Bayou Jazz Band, and my own band, the New Orleans Hot Jazz, I'm transported back to the Bourbon Street of the mid-'70s and '80s. These recordings are a mixture of Dixieland standards, Broadway show tunes, and popular music of the 1920s which was the bill-of-fare I served when I first started singing in the Cresent City. ~ Banu Gibson
