The Down Home Jazz Band, whose tributes to the great Lu Watters Yerba Buena Jazz Band have been received by jazz fans everywhere with unreserved enthusiasm, returns this time to pay its respects to Lu Watters last recording session, in 1963. DHJB leader Hal Smith included four musicians who were on the 1963 session: Bob Mielke, Bob Helm, Wally Rose and Barbara Dane. The recording came off extremely well, and Barbara's singing (three songs) is something special - a rare treat.
